So Says The King Returns!

What with anxiety and depression—mine, my boyfriend’s and our daughter’s—plus the pandemic, it’s taken me a while, but I’ve finally rewritten So Says The King and gotten it ready to be republished. It’s been tough and I feel weird releasing a book now, but I think if there’s ever a time for as many stories as possible, it’s now. Reading and writing have always been my solace, and I just hope that readers enjoy reading this story as much as I did writing it.

So Says The King is a saucy little m/m/m, contemporary erotic romance novelette. It was previously published by Less Than Three Press last year before they closed, and this is a revised edition that I am self-publishing. Here is the cover:

And here is the blurb:

Aidan might just have ruined everything.

Of all the ways he hoped—or dreaded—Jaime would react to his declaration of love, Aidan never imagined that he would threaten not just to end their business partnership but their friendship too if he ever tries to speak to him about it again.

Heartbroken, the last thing Aidan wants to do is attend their office holiday party especially when he discovers that their other business partner, Toby, has organized a toga party.

It’s Saturnalia and Toby has crowned himself the Lord of Misrule, the king for a night. Tonight, his words are their commands and he is determined to make Aidan and Jaime see that they are perfect for each other. But Jaime is hiding a secret, one that will change everything.

For now, So Says The King will only be available through Amazon as an ebook and will be part of Kindle Unlimited. It will be out on 9th June 2020 and is up for preorder right now at:

I’m going to go and have a quiet, inside freak-out now. Keep safe, everyone x

Unhappy Endings

As many of you may know, Less Than Three Press has closed its doors. I am heartbroken that this has happened. It was such a pleasure and a privilege to work with LT3’s editors and artists, and I am so grateful for the opportunities and care they gave me. LT3 was one of the few LGBTQIA publishers, and their inclusivity and diversity will be sorely missed. I hope that everyone who was part of LT3 weathers this speed-bump and goes on to great future success. Thank you so much for everything x

As for the stories I had published at LT3—“Stinger”, “Hellbeasts”, “While She Sleeps”, and “So Says The King”—they will be unavailable for a little while. I will look to see if there are other publishers that might take them, but my feeling at the moment is that I will be self-publishing them in the future. Whatever happens, I’ll let you know.

A Dove’s Wing

Growing up, the books I loved to read most were science-fiction and fantasy ones. While my love of the science-fiction genre has waned a little, my adoration of all kinds of fantasy stories is still going strong and when I have an idea for a piece of writing involving magic, demons, vampires or shapeshifters, I grab hold of that sucker with unholy glee.

As soon as I saw Dreamspinner Press’ submission call for this year’s Daily Dose collection, and read that it was all about shapeshifters, I knew I wanted to submit something. I had a couple of ideas and finally settled on the story of Abel, a small-town vet who falls in love with a dove shapeshifter named Darcy. A few months later, I submitted A Dove’s Wing, and a few weeks after that it was accepted. Yay! I loved every part of creating Abel and Darcy’s story, and today it’s out in the world, ready for you to read and (hopefully) enjoy.

Catching Up

I have new releases! And yes, I’m really late in posting about them. Editing is kicking my butt.

Up first, we have “Destiny” which appears in Circlet Press'”Nights of the Round Table: Arthurian Erotica” anthology.

I love fantasy/mythological stories and so I jumped at the opportunity to create a story around one of my favourite legends. The thing about me is that I adore a good villain and so I had to write a story about Mordred, the son of Arthur and Morgan le Fey. How did he feel about his parentage? Was he happy with his destiny as Arthur’s betrayer? Did he ever want a different life? These were the questions I asked myself when I wrote “Destiny” and I hope you like the story I came up with.

My story “Working Out the Kinks” that appears in Cleis Press’ “Gym Boys: Gay Erotic Stories” anthology is totally different. Playful and saucy, this story centres on a personal trainer and his client, and their antics during a training session. Hopefully, it will get your heart pumping too 😉

New Release!

I have a new short story out in the world!

A couple of days ago Desire Behind Bars: Lesbian Prison Erotica was released by Bella Books, and is now available in various ebook formats and paperback.

I had a blast writing my story  Sweetie, and I can’t wait for the world to meet her. Here’s a short excerpt:

“I’ve made you happy, haven’t I, Sweetie?”

I lean into her touch, rubbing my cheek against her hand. “You know you have. You saved me.” She had. Twice. I can still remember the relief when she shouldered Janice away from me the first time, snarling at her to leave me alone before she walked away with a wink and a smirk for me. The second time, if she had asked me to kiss her feet after she dragged that bitch off of me, I would have. Instead, she said that I was hers and, after nearly beating Janice to death, no one had doubted it, and no one had dared to touch me again. When she came back from solitary, I licked her pussy in gratitude and she named me “Sweetie.”

AL FRESCO from Ladylit Publishing, has made an early arrival in the world, and I couldn’t be more excited. This anthology may be mini, but it is jam-packed with sexy stories of lesbian lovers indulging their passions in the great outdoors.

Here’s a short excerpt from my story, Tryst:

Oh god, she was going to drive me mad. My clit pulsed with a sharp ache. I could feel the little bud swelling up in hungry demand, peeking through my pussy lips for Trina to touch. Her fingertips grazed the hypersensitive bundle of nerves and I flinched, a whiplash of pleasure rocking me in my seat. Trina didn’t look at me to see what was wrong—she knew what she was doing to me, she could feel it throbbing beneath her fingertips.

Trina rubbed little circles over the very tip of my bold clit. Pleasure fizzed and sparked through my body. My grip on the table tightened so much the tips of my fingers turned white.

Today has been a good day. Contracts arrived for a short story I’ve sold. I thought of a (hopefully) good idea for a non-erotica sci-fi story, plus a novella that I’m just chomping at the bit to write. And last but not least, Rose Caraway, the Sexy Librarian herself, tweeted that The Sexy Librarian’s Big Book of Erotica has won a Foreword Reviews’ 2014 INDIEFAB gold medal award! How awesome is that?!

The Sexy Librarian's Big Book of Erotica
I loved writing “The Whole of Me,” the story of mine that appears in The Sexy Librarian’s Big Book of Erotica*. The main character of Shaun was so vivid in my mind when I thought of him—his pain, his determination—his story fairly spilled from my fingertips.**
When Rose chose to include it in the anthology I was thrilled. When I saw what prestigious company it was going to keep, I almost fainted. Wow, there are some excellent stories by some prominent erotica authors in this anthology. Up until the day it was published, I kept thinking I was going to get an email telling me my acceptance had been a mistake. Being included in this anthology, award or no award, is one of the proudest moments of my life so far. I ain’t gonna lie though—the award is sweet sweet icing on this already delicious cake.

**That’s probably not how it happened—like childbirth, I think the feel-good endorphins of having the story published has warped my memory.
